Animation Narratives [Writing]

In class for writing this week, we have been making animation narratives on google slides. I wrote mine about a person called Paddywack in a race. I suppose this is what happens when you try to keep it simple...

In our class, we are doing a novel study on the book 'Wonder' by L.J Palacio. We also had to create a drawing on google draw about the scene we were at in the book. The scene I created was when Summer asks to sit down at August's table. If you want to know more about the story, then you might want to read the book yourself!

Pop art

At the end of last year, I had finished all of the 'must do's' on the list, so I got to work on some pop art that had been a 'can do' for a while. I never got round to publishing it, so I am doing now. Here is how it's done...

You find your image you wish to 'pop art' and copy and paste onto google drawings. Then you use 'polylines', which are over here... of course, click the down arrow to find 'polyline'. 

Then you use polylines to make your own shapes which makes the image.

Netiquette [Cybersmart]

For the past few weeks in our class, we have been creating 'Netiquette' DLO's. It took a few weeks because of all the interruptions, with the end of the school year being close, in fact only a week away. Netiquette is how you behave online. The word is a merge of 'Net', as in Internet, and 'etiquette', or how you behave in general.

For the DLO, we had to create a character to explain netiquette. My one is 'Cybersmart Saphrina'. Her qualities are blue dipped red hair, green eyes, freckles, white T-shirt and blue denim jacket.

Tribes of Muriwhenua [Topic]

Last week, for topic we were creating a slideshow about the tribes of Muriwhenua, the tribes in Northland. I had found it easy to write about the colonisation of New Zealand, but I found it difficult sometimes to put the stories into my own words. I managed it in the end, though.

Stranger danger [reading]

Last week our class had been given safety magazines containing information about how to be safe around railways, water, dogs, bullies and roads. We then created posters, DLO's or dioramas about one of the items you should be safe around.

Legend animation [writing]

For writing this week we had to create a storybook or animation about a legend of one of the areas in the far north. I created an animation about Tokerau, and here it is.
